Bonnie Winterbottom to Ronald Miller regarding her childhood. When Bonnie was young, she and her sister, Julie Winterbottom were often abused, sexually and otherwise by her father and other men who her father introduced them to; one of whom being Louis Lindgren.

Though no longer in a relationship, she lost her life in a failed attempt to save his, when both are shot dead (she accidentally) in the series finale. Bonnie has a love-hate relationship with Annalise Keating. In the season 2 premiere, it is revealed that Bonnie killed Rebecca Sutter in order to protect Annalise.

Julie later confesses to Bonnie, telling her a third and most likely true version — that Julie was caught trespassing because she was dumping Jake near this home to keep him from being raised by her and Bonnie's own sexually abusive father. She tells Bonnie that she buried the baby in the woods.

Because Annalise was due to testify in court about the green-lit mansion shooting, the rest of the gang decided that she was not mentally fit to take the stand. So Bonnie drugged Annalise's ice cream (seriously) and the rest of them set out to create a written statement in her absence.

But if anyone goes to the FBI with this information, Annalise will be linked even more to Wes, aka Sam Keating's killer. For now, the only person who can help Annalise out of this mess is Gabriel.
