Frank Delfino (in the hit ABC dramaHow To Get Away With Murder)was the suave resident killer/hitman of the Keating House. Frank started out as an arrogant, not-too-bright so-called associate at Annalise' law office, but soon turned out to be much more sinister than just a paralegal.

Frank became an integral part of the storyline when it was revealed in season 1 that it was he who had killed the Middleton sorority girl Lila Stangard, obeying Sam Keating's instructions. By the end of the series, Frank had become something of an anti-hero, havinghad a much more crucial role in Annalise and Sam's life than anyone realized, for it turned out that he was the product of incest between Sam and his older sister Hannah. Here are a few details about him fans might have missed out on.
Frank Was A Delgado In Initial Script
In the first script of How To Get Away With Murder, the character was named Frank Delgado. In fact, Frank wasn't the only person whose name changed before the pilot. Laurel too was called Laurel Wilding and not Castillo in the first draft.
Frank became Delfino to indicate some sort of Italian descent. Of course, seeing how he was really Sam's son, he was a Keating all alone.
Frank DelfinoWasn't Much Of A Paralegal
Frank was never really a legal associate, which is how Annalise introduced him and Bonnie to the Keating 5 in the very beginning of the series.
Frank was not qualified to practice law as he did not hold a law degree, or possibly any academic degree at all, given how he spent much of his young days going in and out of prison. In season 5, Frank was shown finally trying toturn his life around, applying for the law program at Middleton, although as in most other things in his life, this too was fated to go wrong.
Frank Tried To Kill His Dad At 13
It was probably a good thing that Frank did not stay with Sam while growing up. The hot-headed young man tried to murder his father, who he knew to be his own father but of course, must have been an adoptive father, in the light of the information of Frank's biological parents revealed in the final season.

Frank planned the murder of his adoptive dadat the tender age of 13 and finally executed his plan after weeks of preparation. He ran his dad over and had been in and out of jail ever since, right until Sam came to his rescue.
Behaved Horribly While On For Parole
Frank was always shown to be a gray character. He committed atrocities either out of a warped sense of justice or to make things right. In season 3, when his backstory was revealed in bits and pieces, in true HTGAWM style, Sam realized that Frank had never forgiven himself for planning his father's murder.
It was because he felt a deep sense of guilt that he repeatedly committed other foolishacts while in jail, even as his parole hearing came out. He made sexual advances on a female guard in prison, and also incited a fight within the cell, hoping that such behavior would prevent him from getting out, because he felt he didn't deserve to get out in the first place.
Bit Of A Gastronomic Genius
After Frank was given up for adoption by the Keatings, he grew up in a large Italian Roman Catholic family. His amazing cooking skills were most likely picked up while his time with his adoptivefamily.
Frank was shown to have cooked some delicious looking meatballs for Laurel and also took charge of food more than once when the Keating 5 hung out all night to do research for one of their cases, or simply to complain about their lives.
It Was Frank Who Had Picked Laurel
In one of Frank's earliest interactions with Laurel, the former was an absolute jerk to the young law student, telling her how she would end up quitting law to become a mother sooner or later.

However, it was also Frank who had selected Laurel to be part of the Keating 5, probably because he regretted his behaviora bit, and most likely because he wanted to woo her sexually.
Frank Never LockedAnnalise' Door
In the very first season, Wes Gibbins came to Annalise' house one nightin one of his earliest personal interactions with the feisty law professor. It was then that he spied Annalise with Nate for the first time.
When Annalise followed him to the door, she realized that her door had been unlocked allowing Wes to let himself in. She then called up Frank to admonish him for forgetting to lock up behind him. This wasn't really the best habit someone could have had, seeing how Annalise later got embroiled in the murkiest of affairs. In fact, when Wes got murdered and the Keating mansion was set alight in season 3, everyone was shown just strolling through the doorway without batting an eyelid.
Frank Never Spent The Money He Got ForAiding In Annalise' Accident
Season 3 of HTGAWM revealed that Frank had been responsible for Annalise losing her baby years ago when she was pregnant while handling the Mahoney case.
Frank had been given a suitcase full of money for helping the hitwoman in the Mahoneys' pay to T-bone Annalise's car. Of course, he didn't know the Mahoneys actually intended to put his employerat death's door, but he felt guilty for betraying her trust, especially given how she lost her baby as a result of the accident. But Frank never got around to using that money, clearly out of a sense of guilt and remorse.
Might Have Killed Bonnie's Dad
In season 3, Bonnie was seen visiting the funeral home after her father's death. She wasn't really seen grieving, after all,her father had been a monster to her, having repeatedly assaulted her sexually.

But when she came out of the funeral home, she saw Frank waiting for her. The latter was then on the run, both from the law and Annalise, after murdering Wallace Mahoney right in front of Wes. Interestingly, Bonnie went and hugged Frank when she saw him, and thanked him! Now, the hint was that Frank had probably murdered her father to get her attention, and also to right the heinous crimes committed against herby her father. The cyrptic 'thank you' was later confirmed when he was actually shown murdering Bonnie's father motivated byhis peculiar sense of justice.
Largest Body Count On The Series
Fans know that Frank had violent tendencies from the beginning, but it might have escaped them that he literally had the largest body count on the show that is obsessed with murder, and where almost everybody is a sociopath.
From killing Lila, Bonnie's dad, Wallace Mahoney, the Castillos' hitman Dominic, Governor Birkhead, and also being responsible indirectly for the death of Annalise's unborn baby, Frank has dropped more bodies on the show than one would care to count.
