ROBSON731-6450 HOUSES FOR SALE YOUR Unused HOUSEHOLD ITEMS in the enquirer's LINES 1-DAY 00 daily 50 sunday in the What To Do? Mike, 4, Is Helpful In Confusing Way KANSAS CITY, Oct. 31 (P) What would you do if you had 12 children and a stranger left two more at your house and didn't come back? That's the predicament of Eugene L. Parisse, a construction laborer, and his wife.

"I'd read about it happening to people but I never dreamed it would happen to me," Mrs. Parisse said today. The Parisses were attending a football game Sunday afternoon when a man appeared at their home with a boy, about four, and a girl, about three. He asked Helen Parisse, 15, the eidest daughter, if she would watch the two for about four hours while he looked for an apartment. Helen said she thought he might be a neighbor and agreed.

He didn't return. The Parisses and their 1 12 children, ages two to 17, have lavished love and attention on the newcomers but feel they can not afford to care for them indefinitely. "I wouldn't mind if we were financially fixed SO we could take them on," said Mrs. Parisse, whose family food bill runs to around $65 a week. She said police would not take the children because they had not been abandoned.

Juvenile Court advised it could not take jurisdiction until the tots had lacked parental care for a year. The youngsters, who say their names are Mike and Judy, aren't much help. A typical conversation goes like this: Mike: "Daddy beats Mommy up." "What does he call NURSES Protected By Laws In Their Social Service, Association Is Told At Meeting The law is a shield for the nurse as well as the patient, a former practicing lawyer, now a registered nurse, said yesterday at the 59th annual meeting of the Ohio State Nurses Association. Speaking at the Hotel Sheraton Gibson, Dr. (of laws) Helen Creighton told nurses that although some look on medical responsibility laws as nothing but trouble, "we regard the law as a shield-to protect usthe professional practitioners of nursing service- an to protect the patient" from "unwarranted, unqualified and unprincipled practitioners." She is associate professor in the school of nursing at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, Lafayette.

Nursing is a social service, Dr. Creighton said, the core of which is care. Legal problems revolve around this core, she said, "Did we give good care or not?" This is interpreted by the courts in the light of the legal touchstone of what would be an "ordinary, reasonable and prudent" action under the circ*mstances. Dr. Creighton cited a general movement in nursing for higher standards of professionalism.

And this move is not just from within. "The community is expecting us to be professional people," she said. See It Work Gnatcatcher Is On Job In Bird Film A chance in a lifetime to see a gnatcatcher at work is offered this week by the Museum of Natural History. And it's a "must" if you wish to see a red-wing blackbird battle a Canadian goose while a kildeer feigns injury to lure a dog away from its nest and a white swan whistles. All of this and more can be seen free of charge in Enquirer columnist Karl Maslowski's 30- minute color-sound film, "Beautiful Birds of Ohio." It is the fifth in a series of eight programs entitled "Let's.

Explore Ohio." Showings will be at 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. Saturday and at 2, 3 and 4 p. m. Sunday, Ralph Dury, museum director, said. Their Final Tribute A Radel Service HULSMAN -Stewart -Lucille -Gertrude SCHNEIDER-August LAMB -Garry Lee NIEDERMEYER-Amelia -Edward Venderhaar Stetter Third Overton St.
