You know, while we are on the topic, it was probably the kooky new-age therapy and psychedelic drug treatments that Meghan encouraged that really brought a lot of this stuff like Harry's resentments and paranoia to the surface.

For sure, all of that stuff and the trauma of losing his mum when he was so young had to be boiling there under the surface. But what he said (before he changed his story) is that W&C encouraged him to seek therapy and he seemed to be able to deal with it all because he surely was seeing someone reputable. But after he met Meghan he was like a bomb that exploded. It was Meghan manipulating him to get him to turn on his family and the affirmation of crackpot practitioners who sealed the deal. Oh, and the fact that he's really dumb that allowed for it all.

I'm sure all the "drugs" and potions she made didn't help.

Wishing you well, Cat. Hoping that your back pain is resolved quickly. Your Mom's UTI will get better very quickly with antibiotics; I've been through it & coupled with Alzheimer's, well...Hope your kitty will be ok! When it rains, it pours.

She ahs another infection that they can't figure out yet so they gave her another antibotic. I did speak to her last night and she sounded more like her old self .

And I hope Miso will be ok too!!!

Oh the Squad found it finally. I mean the hashtagged "where is kate" for months and never found her once. So this taking them 5 days is excellent work for them now.

My mother in law also had numerous UTIs and would act like she had dementia as well. I always wondered, apart from antibiotics, if drinking cranberry juice on a regular basis would help prevent them or at least lessen the severity.

It can't hurt is what I will say.

She also has two different infections the UTI one is dead but she still has something going on so they started her on another one. Hopefully she will be more her tomorrow. I will take her ungrateful self at this point.

At least I will know that she is better.

Miso and I may be headed for the Er waiting for our vet to confirm

Miso got home from the hospital last night. The pain shot they gave him has him more glazed than a donut, especially today.

He had a full blockage. Making that the third since January so our vet is getting us a referral to the surgeon he himself uses for his pets that need complex surgeries. And the PU surgery is in our future.

I'm somewhat amused that the cat vets commented on four years ago having the biggest testicl*s before he was neutered has the shortest urethra the vet has seen.

Hopefully he feels better soon. Right now he's just kind of laying on the floor

Oh Cat and her readers -UTIs in the elderly are seriously scary. My 100 year old Aunt has always been sharp as a tack. She moved to assisted living last fall and I went to visit her. She kept asking where her 1st husband (dead for 30 years) and her son (dead for 25 years) were and why they haven’t visited her. I had to break it to her 4 - 5 time is a 2 hour visit that both were gone. She got so frightened that she was losing her mind. I put it down to her recent move and new surroundings. Turns out it was a UTI. A round of antibiotics and she is back!

So if you have an elderly loved one who all of a sudden seems to have developed full blown dementia, have the doctor check for a UTI.

Let me add - I had chronic UTIs as a child and young adult so this really blew my mind.

I had experienced this with my Aunt so I know the signs but I thought it was because she had brain injury. I didn't realize it is like that with other elderly people as well.

I hope she is better today.

Hoping whatever is going on with your Mom is manageable, hoping your brace arrives soon and you feel better. Also hoping Miso is ok and this bladder business resolves itself!
