The Best Cars, Trucks, SUVs, and More for 2018: Editors' Choice Awards (2)

After driving and reviewing hundreds of candidates over the previous months, we have selected our 2018 Editors’ Choice award winners. With roughly 450 models available today, our final list includes around 25 percent of the market. Our editors consider these to be the best cars, pickup trucks, crossovers, and SUVs for 2018, and we wholeheartedly recommend the following vehicles to buyers shopping in each category.

How did we choose them? First off, the winners of our 10Best Cars and 10Best Trucks and SUVs for 2018 automatically earned their way onto the list. Then we selected the rest using a wide range of criteria: the results from our Buyer’s Guide in-depth testing, how a vehicle performed at our test track, or just old-fashioned subjective desirability. If buying a new car is on your to-do list for 2018, allow us—your not so humble automotive experts—to offer some suggestions.
