Players who are looking for new things to do in Red Dead Redemption 2 can decide to try and complete all of the Challenges. There are eight different groups of challenges in the game which will force players to use specific weapons or find things in the world around them. Those who want to get in touch with nature can decide to tackle the Survivalist Challenges.

The Survivalist Challenges will have players crafting things and hunting animals in the world around them like a true survivalist. Some challenges are pretty easy, but others will take quite a bit of work and patience on the part of players. This guide will layout exactly how to complete each challenge.
RDR2 Survivalist Challenge One
The very first challenge will be completed by just catching three bluegill fish anywhere in the world. These fish are incredibly common and can be found in almost any body of water in the game. This makes completing the first challenge ridiculously simple. If players are having trouble though they can always use cheese as bait to attract them faster.
RDR2 Survivalist Challenge Two
Challenge two tasks players with turning in five animal carcasses to their camp or a local trapper. This one is pretty simple as well, as players can turn in any animals that they wish. The easiest way to complete this challenge is to kill smaller animals like rabbits because they are easier to kill and transport.
RDR2 Survivalist Challenge Three
To complete this challenge, players will need to acquire a varmint rifle and kill five animals with it. Players can complete both this challenge and challenge two simultaneously if they use the varmint rifle and bring the carcasses back to camp.
RDR2 Survivalist Challenge Four
In order to complete the fourth challenge players will need to craft dynamite, fire arrows, improved arrows, poison arrows, and small game arrows. First things first though the recipes for each will need to be found first, but players can get the majority of them from Emerald Ranch. Once the recipes have been acquired it is just a matter of grabbing the essential components and crafting one of each.
RDR2 Survivalist Challenge Five
Players will need to go to the bayou and catch a fish from both a riverboat and from the train tracks. This is pretty simple to do as long as players can avoid alligators that plague this area of the map. Riverboats are usually near the shores around small towns and the train tracks are easy to spot on the map. Any fish will do for this challenge.
RDR2 Survivalist Challenge Six
To complete the sixth challenge, players will need to kill five different scavenging animals as they are feeding on a corpse. The upside to this challenge is that both human and animal corpses count, so players can kill anything they wish and then step back to wait for scavengers to show up. Players will then need to sneak up and kill the animal with a headshot to get credit for the kill.
RDR2 Survivalist Challenge Seven
This challenge is a little more difficult as players will need to kill eight small animals with small game arrows in a row without missing a shot. The upside is that players can take as long as they want between shots as long as they don't miss in between.
RDR2 Survivalist Challenge Eight
This is another crafting challenge, but this time players will need to craft a homing tomahawk, improved tomahawk, volatile dynamite, and volatile fire bottle. All of these recipes will need to first be bought by from a fence like the one at Emerald Ranch. Once again the player will just need to collect the proper materials and craft one of each to earn this challenge.
RDR2 Survivalist Challenge Nine
For the penultimate challenge players will need to catch a fish that weighs at least 19 pounds. This mostly just boils down to luck, but players can do several things to help improve their chances. If they travel to legendary fishing areas and use lures that target heavier types of fish, players will be able to complete this challenge in no time.
RDR2 Survivalist Challenge Ten
This is by far the most difficult challenge to complete, as players must catch every single type of fish in the game. This includes all of the game's legendary fish, as well as ones in locations that can't be accessed until the game has been completed. Luckily, players can keep track of how many fish they have caught in the progression menu.
