Purdue Convocations presents its 121st Season with a lineup of innovative projects and performances from around the world. The 2023-2024 Season includes the 28th West Lafayette Global Fest, award-winning hip-hop, rock, folk, jazz, and chamber musicians, an interactive wellness installation, a curricular integration residency, thought-provoking lectures, family-friendly engagements, on-campus school matinees, and award-winning Broadway musicals and major attractions in Elliott Hall of Music including Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Live in Concert, Mean Girls, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Hairspray, Come From Away, and Shrek The Musical. All tickets for 2023-2024 events are available for purchase by the public and Friends of Convocations beginning July 6 at 6:30 p.m. EDT. An allotment of tickets for each performance is available for the Friends of Convos Priority Points ordering period July 6 through July 21. For priority seating, Friends of Convos must use the form at convocations.org/tickets. General public single and group tickets are also on sale July 6 at 6:30 p.m. EDT. Patrons may purchase tickets online at convocations.org/tickets, by phone at (765) 494-3933, or by visiting the Stewart Center Box Office at 128 Memorial Mall, Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during Purdue’s summer schedule.
Friends of Convos members are given priority seating using the Priority Points system. Donations of $100 or more qualify for priority seating and other perks, and provide crucial support for performances, education, outreach, and special programs. Revenue from ticket sales only covers 60% of the true costs of programming, so gifts from generous individuals, corporations, and foundations help Purdue Convocations close that gap. All patrons may add a gift with their ticket order to immediately avail themselves of these benefits by visiting convocations.org/friends. Priority Points orders must be received by July 21, 2023 for PICK5 discounted subscriptions and single show tickets to ensure the best seating.

The group’s eclectic sound borrows heavily from 1960s and ’70s folk, funk, and laid-back rock influences. Direct from Austin, Texas, Briscoe earned national recognition sharing the stage with bands like My Morning Jacket and Tame Impala, but it’s their upcoming album and feel-good live show that will leave you wanting more.

Days filled with deadlines and challenging goals are the new normal-or perhaps the pressure just feels more intense now. In a groundbreaking new project, a talented collection of Purdue experts and special guest musicians/composers/technologists known as Chromic Duo, have banded together to design a relief valve.
Using a novel combination of art, technology, and clinical psychology, the StairWELL project will produce an interactive sculptural installation to create a sense of beauty, respite, and play via an inventive user interface. Viewers become participants in an expressive journey that creates community while also delivering powerful supportive connections where they may be needed. In short, StairWELL builds wellness through interactive art and technology.
