People usually prefer mid-size SUVs more than their standard counterparts as they come in a proportionate weight and are fuel-efficient. In other words, the intermediate SUVs have better gas mileage than the huge correlative models.
What is the midsize SUV with the best resale value? The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited has the best resale value among midsize SUVs. The Wrangler Unlimited retains 76.3 percent of its value after 5 years, with an average price of $32,915 for 5-year-old models.
Some midsize SUVs are simply larger than their compact brethren, offering more space in a similar five-passenger configuration, while others provide massive three-row cabins with seven- or eight-passenger seating. They may sacrifice a bit of fuel economy, but midsizers boast extra power, space and even luxury.
We begin with the Toyota RAV4, a midsize crossover that remains an icon among its class and a reputable choice for many needs. Unlike other Toyota SUVs that seat seven to eight passengers, the RAV4 seats five and starts out at a comfortable price, making it a great choice for adventurers.
When it comes to the dimensions of the vehicles, the Ford Edge is larger in every exterior aspect, mainly because it is classified as midsized while the Rogue is a compact SUV.
Yellow retains the top ranking for resale value in the SUV category, followed by green, orange, and purple. These are not common colors on SUVs, helping the few that are painted these shades be seen as rare and more valuable to buyers seeking them.
Subaru is not new to this honor and has topped this ranking as recently as 2021. and just last March, another J.D. Power study showed Subaru ranking the highest of all mass market brands in their Customer Satisfaction Survey.
Top crossover SUVs according to mechanics include the Toyota Highlander and Lexus GX luxury SUV. The GX was named Consumer Report's most reliable vehicle in 2022.
Midsize sport utility vehicles offer more space and cargo capacity, while compact crossovers are more maneuverable and easier to park. Midsize SUV cars often have more advanced features, while compact ones prioritize fuel economy.
