Product: HP Tango X

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Tango X printer did not come with the SETUP cartridges that are needed. How do I bypass the SETUP cartridge requirement? Taking it back to the retailer isn't an option at the moment.

@CHAS_B1, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand you do not have the setup ink cartridges. We will have to perform an OOB reset on the printerto resolve this issue. But, you have to have regular HP ink cartridges.

If you do not have them, you can get a replacement printer from where you bought it or from HP.

  • Thereset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to performa full reset and re-initialize the printer.
  • In order to access your private messages, click theprivate message icon on the upper right corner of your HP community profile, nextto your profile Nameor simply click on this link:https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Click on the YES button to reply that the response was helpful and/or to say “Thank You”.

Have a great day!
